TOP 10 MEDIA CENTERS :-
A multimedia application that allows the user to play and organize various types of media on a computer is called media center.

 XBMC is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub that can be installed on Linux, OS X, Windows, iOS, and Android, featuring a 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. Boxee was originally a fork of thefree and open source XBMC media center software which Boxee now uses as an application framework for its GUI and media player core platform, together with some custom and proprietary additions.Marketed as the first ever "Social Media Center", Boxee recently announced the ability to watch live TV on the Boxee Box with the introduction of the live TV stick. Avner Ronen released it to the market in January 2012.






Windows Media center (abbreviated WMC) is a media player and media library application developed by Microsoft that is used for playing audio, video and viewing images on personal computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system, as well as on Pocket PC and Windows Mobile-based devices. Editions of Windows Media Player were also released for Mac OS,Mac OS X and Solaris but development of these has since been discontinued.
